Analysis of Build me up

Ari 2022 (Hanover)

Build me up,
tear me down,
Say I am,
what you are not,
be who I want you to be,
or else we are not free,
free at last,
not completely free,
chained up to a wall,
while she holds a knife to my neck,
while he is on the ground bleeding to death,
three knives on the floor,
with names written in blood on the wall, ones lisha, twos Keisha and threes misha, all I did with their blood on the wall,
marbles coming down the hall,
sleeping soundly in her bed,
with the monster under her bed,
mirror face to her bed,
shadows wishing she was dead,
mother watching her sleep,
wishing her sweet dreams,
sisters hiding in the closet,
with a knife in her hand,
her brother in the basement,
with knife in his neck,
still alive wishing you was dead,
trembling while taking out the knife,
he died just last night.
