Analysis of A Small Thought

Maira faisal 2008 (karachi)

Why does everyone act so fine?
Think that the world is so divine?
Why is everybody so hurried?
Pretending all their grief is buried?

Get up
Open your eyes,
See the world
From a different side

As we get bathed in
Glowing blue lights,
Some people are
Fighting for their life.

Love turns to hatred
Families get separated,
People die
While children cry

Come on, Let's stand together,
take flight like a feather,
Fight before it's too late
Before corruption determines our fate
