Analysis of Trustworthy Prophetic Word
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
We did not cleverly devise,
Any myths when we made it known;
Only desired to advise,
The coming of the Lord alone.
His power is a mystery,
Of honor and glory from God;
To eyewitness His majesty,
Will make you honor and laud.
The Majestic Glory of his voice,
That the Father has been well pleased;
Should make everyone rejoice,
In making you to be appeased.
We heard this voice borne from Heaven,
When up on the Holy Mountain;
The praise the Father had given,
Coming from a flowing fountain.
For we have the prophetic Word,
To which you will pay attention;
Shining in a dark place as you heard,
The morning star starts ascension.
As dawn rises within your heart,
And your lamp will be shining bright;
Darkness will suddenly depart,
As the sun radiates its light.
No prophecy of the Scripture,
Comes from an interpretation;
Rather by God as to nurture,
Ponder our meditation.
No prophecy produced by man,
But moved by the Holy Spirit;
For the Father does have a plan,
That those with faith will inherit.
