Analysis of Lips of Times

Sounds teleported by cheerful drums
Propelled me high,
high enough to see the one shoulder high.

Echoes that run like concertos
For the new champion with the dead spin of a crocodile...

A heavyweight belt hooks around
his waist like a snake wrapped around itself

They looked at him like the brazen serpent...

They praised,
They saluted,
They celebrated,
They boasted,
They threw him high and held him in the air

The hero on high laughed as though it would last forever!

The gyration had not ended
the hero on high had been thrown out of the shoulders of comfort...

The cheerers cheer some new hero now,
A new dawn with the footsteps of a tiger,
One that breaks and sets records...

They praised,
They saluted,
They celebrated,
They boasted,
They threw him high and held him in the air

They looked at him like the brazen serpent

The hero on high laughed laugh,
 laughter louder than a gong

To die now is gain,
To remain is vain

To die with your glory on the lips of times
is much gain than your glory dying on your very eyes
On the lips of times for a rising of a new dawn.

About this poem

This poem is an offshoot of deep reflection or should I say sober reflection? It is a poem that explains human nature. One is praised today and despised tomorrow. The poem, therefore, warns everyman to be mindful because nothing last forever.
