Analysis of Winter

I woke up one morning and happen to look outside
Everything was covered in ICE!
What a delightful surprise!
It looked some what dangerous,
But I thought it was best not to fuss.
Off I went, my skates all laced
I hurried outside to great the ice,
With anticipation I felt the blade of my skates on the ice.
This is great! - I thought
Instead I fell flat on my face
As I struggled to get up
I noticed it had started to snow,
So back to my front door I went.
Inside I collapsed on the floor - I was spent1
Some how I made it to my bed
Where upon layin, the pillow hit my head.
Off to sleep I went
In hopes that the ice would soon melt.
For skating on the ice is nice,
But, Oh! what a fright!
It certainly is not my thing
So, longingly I look towards spring.
With joyful hope the birds soon would sing!
Where upon, I would do my thing.
