Analysis of For my Lover (N*****a)
Stay a little longer, my love.
The night has only just begun;
A little more effort can be made,
We may yet fall in love again.
I have stories to tell,
We have things to do.
You can show me all the places that ache,
I can write about them too.
So what if I can't take the pain away?
I can beautify it still, I can exaggerate.
What is pain, if not a means to art?
What is pain, if not pleasure in equal parts?
Lay down your walls, along with what you wear,
I want to see you all, completely bare
Under the moonlight, my moonlight, we rendezvous
You keep me a secret, I'll tell the world about you.
