Our hearts would've still known warmth.
I have had taken your hand in mine
And us, the stars and the sky,
would have been my little heaven.
My heart would have still retained its sanity,

Empty pages in the night sky,
Fill me up with memories or 'us'.
The thought of your warm, agile kisses,
still send my heart into a flutter.
Like dried turmeric on my hand,
comes back to its life in yellow.
A tiny recollection of you ,
Still paints my heart in saffron
Maybe being forgetful would've helped,

We'd have spent the night writing poems,
And fools like us would've spent more nights listening to them.
Our hearts would've remained full in emptiness,
Had we gone out looking for the right in wrong.
Ours would have been the great love story.
Had you stayed alongside me.
What a wondrous act of kindness it would've been,
even in your absence your glory would've prevailed,
