Analysis of We Will Soar

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Created and raised from the dust
And Jesus is the head of us
We will rise up on eagle’s wings
We will not want for anything

It’s by the Father I’ve been taught
His Spirit knows my every thought
My heart and my soul belong to him
And in the end, I know we win

Because I see what I have gained
I know in him I will remain
Remember when this season ends
The Lord will still call us his friends

When I cannot complete my task
I know I only have to ask
His love is like the rain in spring
He makes me grow and then I sing

How could I ask for anymore?
When I know my place is secure
I know God showers love on us
And this is what we should discuss

When hard times come we should not doubt
But we should sing and let it out
Because God gave his Son for us
So, we won’t give in to our lusts
