Analysis of Dignity and Glory
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
The Lord is so majestic;
In His name in all the earth;
With glory to the angelic,
Because of His priceless worth.
Mouths of babies and infants
He has established of His strength;
For they have been sycophants,
Persevered at such a length.
When I look up to Heaven,
Seeing the moon and the stars;
Setting a place has given,
His fingers healing the scars.
What is man He is mindful,
The Son of man that He cares;
That shows just how beautiful,
The creation that He shares.
Yet you have made Him lower,
Than the heavenly beings;
In glory as the sower,
To Honor with His blessings.
He has given dominion,
Over the works of His hands;
Surpassed of the opinion,
Of man by through His commands.
All of the beasts of the field,
Also the oxen and sheep;
Growth of the crops as to yield,
The birds and the fish shall sleep.
Whatever passes the path,
How majestic is His name;
Believers are spared the wrath,
That the faithful will proclaim.
