Analysis of Surreal Suadade

Arlyn BM 1971 (Philippines)

Tri decades of void glimpse
Unrecognized longing in universal vastness
A hormonal leap paraded in anticipation
How can I not yield to longing for one prodigal soul?

The silhouette came, it is real
Aching soul irked of no control
The tightest hug can’t even quench
Am amber burning a raging wrecking ball

This isn’t me, who could this be
Betrayed past full of dismay
Smashed feeling, raindrops in barrel
A stupid relapse, be logical enough to remember

Aortic leap, not an obsession
Immense missing is simply surreal
Saudade wake me up to reality
Was already dumped in distant memory
You’ve been so long somebody’s property.
