Analysis of ELA

Oh, In the class ELA,                
Is more than just English.
It’s not a fun place to stay,
My dreams that it distinguished.               

The first thing we get is a pink sheet,
Along with a book that takes up all of my time.             
Almost finished but I feel defeated,                    
ELA homework should be a crime.

Don’t get me started on reading plus,
It’s the purest form of torture.
Every weekend it makes me want to cuss,
That thing is a real scorcher.                  

Then we get the real deal,
The worst of all is grammar.
No! My straight A’s, why must you steal?                   
Feels like it’s hitting my head with a hammer.

The poems are more of a pain,
Never ending lists, making me scream.                    
They are like bugs crawling on my brain,                      
Destroying my self-esteem.

Someone please, get me out of here,
Tons of homework, driving me crazy.                 
This class makes me shed in tears,
The assignments are too hard, i’m not lazy.
