Analysis of Banks and braes

Justa fort 2001 (Nuneaton)

And could I be the man for her
And she the girl for me
And should I win her dearest heart
A happy man I'd be

And I would sing my sweet love's praise
among the bonny banks and braes
And I would set my lifetimes goal
To claim my trueloves heart and soul

And side by side we'd gaily go
To catch the softly falling snow
And guided by sweet aftons flow
Our love is all we need to know

And if our love should slowly fade
And if we should lament
Remembering the love we made
My heart would be content
