Analysis of Born Beautiful
bruised, broken bones, their blackened tissues shown;
and through this thistle comes thoughtless memoir,
brought through en lieu, it flew this faux foehn;
an ailing, failing, bygone blazing star.
blued blood bucks and boils as black lungs breathe in;
all hours ours to scour as time turns tauter,
burned bookend to bookend, but bound back n'penned;
a body bereft of breath's born daughter.
but binary blocks ceruloplasmin;
as new ashen dispassion backs them,
bash in this blackened chromatin bastion;
a wayward wind's wise guise left cleft at stem.
burnt bitch fought bone; oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ
as ash; as poem; oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ
