Analysis of Dying Flower
I am a dying flower
Who desperately needs water
Experiencing severe dehydration
Life is on the brink of extinction
Standing alone in a hot weather
Hopelessly waiting for a single drop of water
As the days go by, my situation gets worst
There is no purpose left to quench my thirst
My fragile stem then starts bending
And several petals begin falling
My shriveled skin will eventually start
To disintegrate and fall apart
I don’t know how long I can survive
While waiting for the rain to arrive
I am only one step away from dying
I need water to stop me from wilting

About this poem
This poem revolves around losing purpose in life or being unable to find it. Life is meaningless without purpose. Once you lose it, you'll keep questioning yourself whether it is still worthwhile to be alive or not. I decided to live to write these kinds of poems, and that's my purpose in the meantime.
