Analysis of 1 in 20 have an Extra rib
Scott Michael Potter 1966 (Grand Rapids, MI)
So, Adam gave a rib to aid in Eve’s creation,
and now we have moved too far from Eden…
Therefore, we see a prevalence of anomalies,
such as extra ribs and fingers, and whatnot…
Should we see this as something physical or scientific,
then however seen, we must answer the why.
If why is entertained
then how must too be seen and understood.
The why is related to the psychic
wound of the separation from Nature…
The how then feels related to compensation
or a compensating function for that loss.
