Analysis of Gaia

The earth was bleeding while we laughed
Mother Gaia's life is being extinguished
Our excesses has seen her life span halved
Leaving her with nothing but pain and anguish
"Do not bite the hand that feeds you" she cries out
"Stop killing nature's children"
But instead we party loud and wastefully like touts
Our industries, bringing unending tears to her eyes
Our quest for development and technology
To nature, bears the form of a bane
Our metal horses which constantly emitting nitrogen
And gory wars sting her like a sharp cane.
The earth was laughing while she died
Mother Gaia's end draws nearer as the days go by
Her life too damaged beyond repair
Her transition going unnoticed like a needle in hay
With nothing but pain and despair in her heart.
