Analysis of Dating Anxieties

These anxious thoughts,
They’re swarming my mind.
I don’t want to
Be too clingy,
But I don’t want to
Be too distant.
I don’t want to
Make you mad
And I don’t want to
Make you leave.
I get nervous when you’re
Talking to someone else
And I try to calm down
And remind myself
That I shouldn’t be
Too suspicious and
To just let you be yourself.
I have trouble trusting you
Because of our fragile past
When you said
You would love me
But you abused
Your first chance.
I’m giving you
A second chance
Because I still
Love you a lot
But please don’t
Ruin this second chance
Otherwise so much
Will be lost.
I always worry if
You don’t smile back
Or if you don’t look at me if
I pass you in the hallway.
I’m just so worried about
Losing you again.
I'm always afraid about
Your love for me being a lie.
Even though I would long for you,
Living alone without you
In a single life was easier
When I didn’t have to
Constantly worry
About being
In a relationship
With stress and
Anxiety and worries
Constantly running
Through my head.
