दर्द-ए-जुदाई क्या होती है ये हमें मत बताओ,
इश्क़ के सताए हुए हैं हम मोहब्बत हमें मत सिखाओ।
हमारे आंसुओ को वो महज़ पानी समझता है,
नया-नया आशिक़ है अभी जो इश्क़ को जावेदानी समझता है।।

हमारा नरम लहजा उन्हें गावारा ना था,
एक उनके बिना हमारा कोई सहारा ना था।
अब हम शिकायत करते भी तो किस्से,
वो शक्स हमारा होते हुए भी हमारा ना था।।

आदत सी हो गई है अब दर्द सहने की,
सीख रहा हूं कला मैं भी अकेले रहने की।
तुम्हारी सफाई का क्या करूंगा मैं,
ज़रुरत नही तुम्हें अब कुछ भी कहने की।।
