Analysis of FROM THE DARK

Evil is creeping from the dark
Upon this loathsome night,
Where even those strong at heart
Could so easily die of fright.

Shadows reaching out for you
Like tendrils from some deadly plant,
Trying surely to trip you up
Or grab you by your hand.

A low whimpering does resound
From somewhere close nearby,
But if you go to investigate
It could be the night that you die.

A dark beauty is beckoning you
From within the murky gloom,
But heaven help you if you dare
To follow her to her room.

Predators sail low overhead
Watching your every movement,
Following your from close at hand
Smirking with evil amusement.

Horrors leaping from the dark
Racing straight toward you,
Paralysed with fear you stand
Too terrified to move.

Soon death is upon you
And you will surely die,
As horrors are feasting on you
Within this dreadful night.
