Analysis of Permitted Inner Sense
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Only today's children,
Can be excused...
For having an inner sense to permit,
Of not knowing how to prevent...
Conflicts and the rise of division,
Created and meant to exist...
Between those much older.
And allowed to do,
What has been done to prove...
They have the freedom.
With documented entitlements,
To abuse who they choose.
Done to blame and accuse,
Others innocent.
Just for the enjoyment of it!
Only today's children.
Born to be fed a way of life.
Knowing more about the wrongs.
And less to appetite,
Upon that which is the right thing to do?
Can be excused for their activities.
Taught with a doing,
By everyone around them to teach.
That a being dishonest,
And lieing to deceive.
Is much more beneficial.
Than defending the truth and it's reality.
When they observe to witness and see,
People making attempts...
To do the right thing in life,
Are often the ones demeaned.
Thought to be fools.
And considered to be threats.
To a way of life,
Without discipline, respect...
Or an appreciation to show others,
They know something about...
The affects of selfishness.
To believe being thoughtless...
And disrespectful to everyone else,
Will leave them achieving...
Not only success.
But also things to possess.
Making others jealous and envious!
With no inner sense of self.
Left to express,
Of having any consciousness at all!
No one can fault or blame,
Today's children to claim...
Them not to become,
The adults they should be.
Since...
Who are the adults?
Believing themselves,
The mentors and teachers?
When today's children only know,
From those who show them...
How to grow older as children,
But not up to become responsible adults!
'There you go, again.
Passing judgement with your criticisms!'
'I see.
Okay.
So tell me...
Is a judgement to pass it,
On a truth no one seems to have?
A critique?
Or...
A truth to speak it spoken,
Thought to be confrontational?
Conflicting to what is observed?
Or...
Believed an unsolicited opinion?
That offends those like yourself,
Who prefer to live a life...
In the comfort of denial.
Lieing to themselves with no opposition!'
'Well?
Uh...hmmm.
If I understood what you were saying,
I might have a reason to object to it.'
