Analysis of A Southern Christmas
We searched the "Secret Forest" for the perfect Christmas tree,
felling it with an ax while down on bended knee.
Adorning it with ornaments caused my eyes to tear,
for some brought memories to mind that I allowed but once a year.
The kitchen filled with smells of cooking delights,
Confections made with love for hungry appetites.
Presents under the tree awaiting the dawn of Christmas morn,
each chosen with special care of gold and silver adorned.
Jolly old Saint Nick plays in my children's minds
as the await his arrival laden with toys so divine.
We gather in a spirit of love and read the story of the birth of our Christ.
Prayers for happiness, peace and joy, we send to all mankind.
