Analysis of No, My Love

No, my love. You can’t do that.
Remember how your anxiety grows?
No, my love. You can’t do that.
You’ll get yourself in a state.
No, my love. You can’t do that.
It will tire you out. Make you sleep all day.
No, my love. You can’t wear that.
Won’t it make you feel self conscious?
No, my love. You can’t wear that.
That was my mother’s perfume.
No, my love. You can’t wear that.
You know how you hate that fabric.
No, my love. You can’t keep that.
You can use the things I choose for us.
No, my love. You can’t keep that.
There is no point having something just for you.
No, my love. You can’t keep that.
Someone else might laugh at you.
No, my love. No, you can’t.
But I can, and I will, and I shall take.
Even when you say no.
