Analysis of Winner

Why Me?
Why Me?

I do my chores and duty to sustain
When urged to supersede, to dominate, mostly in vain

Be number one, top of the heap
Pushed off from a sorry height, fatigued and beat

Did I say imbalance?
Why Me?

So with planning and courage, I must attack
Jump up and down on my competitor's back
Fight for recognition and some success
Only to extract myself, ooze gradually out of this mess

But the abject hero (me) again defeated
Better strategy and muscles needed
My ego and image shrunk to midget size,
Failure into action, I again arise.
Why Me?
So, without brain nor brawn,
I do entertain a new venture

Where free spirits stay free, without negative censure
Where everyone dares and no one loses or is a sinner
An illusionary bunch where each of us is now a winner!

Did I say imbalance?

We are all insecure in one way or the other.
Mother, where are you?
