Analysis of JACQUELINE THE MANAGER
Debra K Middaugh (AKA turbo1904) 1963 (San Diego, CA.)
It was closing time and all thru the store,
No customers were lingering, time to lock the door.
The boxes were stacked by the back door with care,
In hopes the cashier would see them there.
Jacqueline all comfy snug in her chair,
Counting the money and pulling her hair.
Bubbles in her chevron shirt and cap,
Don’t know about the money missing, isn’t taking the rap.
Out in the parking lot there came a bang and clatter, Jacqueline sprang from the chair to deal with the matter.
Headlights not working, car is hot, grill is bent,
It looks like he needs some help in any event.
More rapid than superman he flew to the door,
Begging and pleading Please just one more.
Jacqueline greeted him warmly and ushered him in,
How may I help you,” she said with a grin.”
His smile relaxed and with a sigh of relief,
He said thank you so much I was really in deep.
A smile on his face and a nod of his head,
She knew it was ok she had nothing to dread.
She spoke not a word and got right to work,
Water for the radiator and fuses for the lights that are burnt.
Mission accomplished water and fuses all in,
She thanked him for stopping by said please come again.
I heard him shout out as he drove out of sight,
Thank you, Chevron, and Jacqueline have a good night.
