Analysis of INTO THE SINISTER NIGHT
Into the dark and sinister night
Hungry creatures are lurking,
Omnivores and carnivores hunt
Growling, snarling, and chirping.
Flying into the loathsome night
Bird-like monsters are winging,
Then seeing human prey just below
They start out in an evil singing.
Following people from the air
Waiting for a chance to attack,
Then screeching like death itself
They swoop down to peck and hack.
Screaming as they try to run away
Their quarry is very soon killed,
Then the avian horrors can feed
Until they have had their fill.
Or until leviathan nightmare beings
Drive them away from the bloody feast,
Leaving the frustrated avians to watch
As the hungry abominations eat.
Into the dark and sinister night
Night predators hunt for food,
As out in the darkened streets
Human prey is being pursued.
Out in the almost empty streets
Dark Banshee-like beasts shrill,
Chorusing the last moment of life
For those, they are about to kill.
Into the dark and sinister night
Unwary travellers walking alone,
About to be killed and devoured
By brutes that to science are unknown.
