Analysis of OUT INTO THE MALEVOLENT TOWN

Out into the malevolent town
Unsuspecting innocents tread,
Unaware of the horrors lurking
Just a few metres up ahead.

Spinifex blows through the streets
In a town where nothing decent lives,
Only fools walk outside after dark
For the lethal night never forgives.

Malignant foliage is growing
On the outskirts of the town,
For nothing good could ever sprout
From the evil poisonous ground.

Skeletal beings stalk the town
In the pitch-black after twilight,
For even the evil moon above
Gives out a dirty, greying light.

Long-dead beings roam the streets
Each night after the witching hour,
Demons, devils, witches screeching
Holding the town in their awful power.

A black rain covers the buildings
Acidic, smelling water falling,
From a sick, malevolent sky
Where batlike monsters are calling:

Squawking like the voice of death
Come Verdillacs, and Night Gaunts,
And prehistoric flying reptiles
Come out at night to haunt.

No-one ever comes here to stay
And the sane try futilely to leave,
Wives, children, and parents all
Are left behind to wildly grieve.

THE END
