Analysis of Hypnotica
Anester Sedam 2005 (Caribbean)
It was inconceivable how I held my breath
Everytime you were near,
My heart beat also became inconsistent,
Was it the way you held the knife to my throat before
Or was it the time when you held me dearly to you,
I was hypnotic to you,
Even when eventually it became too overpowering
with such an intimate hate.
