Analysis of THE ICY GRIP OF DEATH

Death stalks the wastelands
An icy, frozen nowhere,
Nothing survives here.

The Frigid night air
Is chilling your very soul,
Bringing with it death.

Cones of Intense white
Breathtaking blue-white landscape,
Brings intense trauma

Icy hands of fear
Playing upon your spine like,
The fingers of death.

Surrender yourself
To death’s sudden icy grip,
Lost out in the Alps.

Evil happening
The icy cold grip of death,
Strikes the unwary.

Ice cold scimitars
Like the claws of death itself,
Caressing your spine.

The icy grip of death
Grasping a new victim,
Killing him slowly.

Atonal rhythms
Swept along by an icy wind
The melody of death?

Icy waterways
Leading to a frozen Hell,
Human life now gone.

About this poem

This started out as a single haiku, then years later I expanded it into a much longer poem.
