Analysis of In the blue silhouette
What time do you sleep?
Is it between the chirping of the crickets and the early call of the rooster?
Is it right after a comforting coffee and the time of the orange-pink swirls of the sky?
Or is it until the serenade of the birds with the bright yellow sunshine heating your face?
In this tranquil solitude
I rest
Where I bid good-bye to the pain and problems of the devilish daylight
Let them waft away and fly through and open window,
Where their ellipses disappear into their death.
You are not with me anymore,
And the stars have lost their light.
Let me fall because I brought myself here,
I walk and wonder where I'll land.
Let the night air I breathe be of one,
The chill that brings a shiver to my body and a smile to my face,
Telling me to retreat into this slumber.
To only hear the reassurance of my breathing,
And the playful tune of my hum.
Allow the bluish-black night to lull me to sleep,
And to let the silence alarm on time.
Finally, I can hold a shield to the world,
Let the blanket close my eyes,
So I can travel in a warm comfort within the night.

About this poem
I wrote this poem in 2012 when I was visiting my sister in Georgia. I was inspired by the late time of day, when it was turning dark blue, and I was getting ready to go to sleep. These are my feelings and thoughts for that moment.
