Analysis of Land Of Steady Habits

Taking a risk to acquire a broader insight.
Can only enlighten one's consciousness,
Restricted to a familiar routine to addict to it.
Especially in places once considered,
United upon the land of steady habits.
Where everything seemed,
To adapt to an appearance...
Of irresistable boring conformity.
As if the benefits of acceptance,
Met to meet approval...
Had to pass the head to toe inspection.
Those were the times,
When diversity had been confined...
To who could convince others,
They shared royal blood that had been blue.
And walked with behinds freshly pinched!
Prepared for throne sitting.

Today?
Descendants of this fiction to delude mindset,
Are still doing their best to diminish diversity.
As a reason why success and progress,
Remains to be the backbone...
Of this country's greatness to claim achieved.
Although continually wanted to have wished,
This reality to deceive.

'No offense.
These costumes you all are wearing.
Depicting a past to have had.
Conducting yesterday's business.
Done to recapture that nostalgic,
Rejuvenation.
You all do realize the year is 2021, right?
And pretensions imitated to be made...
Would get better approving results,
If exhibited in a museum.'

'We are being misunderstood.
We too seek progress and looking ahead.
Not backward.
But our leader?!'

'Don't say another word.
The one chosen?'

'The one self proclaimed to be a genius.
With abilities to fix anything?'

'The one responsible for all the chaos.
Division and racial conflict?'

'Division, chaos and racial conflict?
We were told the munchkins.
And supporters of Snow White did that.
Joined by the Height Matters people,
Claiming to blame...
All of it on a new religious cult,
Our leader says we must end.
If we really really really want,
The Emerald City freed to keep it...
Truth free to delude forever.'

'Wow!
And...
You all believe this?'

'Why shouldn't we?
Look at us.
Do we appear as if something is wrong?
We are loyal and faithful followers,
Of the chosen one!'

'And...
Once upon a time.
Not that too long ago.
There had been a land of steady habits.
People then knew by the hour,
What next to expect.
Before the craze became the rage.
And fashionable enough,
To mess up...
Even a dysfunctional way of life.
More missed to wish it had as normal.'

'Excuse us.
Are you on your knees praying or crying?
Or...
Both?
