Analysis of Taming the Affliction
Deceived by image looking back on the past, missing the excitement that never seemed to last.
Tedious times plague the present, hoping for its return, though hiding is a peasant.
Forgetting the dreadful that brought me to my knees, why is the normal handled with such unease.
With every root that is unearthed with digging deep, finally waking from the miserable sleep.
Giving away my hope and glory, humbled trying to rewrite this story.
Washed clean are the guilt and shame. This affliction isn't gone but for now it is tame.
