Analysis of DARK FEEDERS OF THE NIGHT

Dark feeders at night
Winging above the rooftops,
Seeking living food.

Watching for movement
Or for any sign of life
In the dark streets below.

Even the slightest glimmer
Will start them screeching,
As they start to dive.

Hearing the screeching
Animals and humans start,
Running for cover.

As night feeders swoop
Drawing ever nearer,
Their prey is nowhere safe.

Talons readying
They zoom towards their meal,
Then flying off again.

Without stopping
Their victims crying shrilly,
They head into the night.
