Analysis of Punchy
John Jessup Kennan 1953 (Pomona)
So now for us the time has come
To watch our waters all run red
Hordes of the sword flood of the blood
High as a horse's head
In the Valley of Megiddo
Time of the goyim be fulfilled
On flesh of all my enemies
Fowl of the air come eat your fill
The wild donkey Ishmael
Tramples seed of Abraham
Burns greenhouses in Gaza
Cleanse the land of the great I Am
We flee into the mountains
Hide ourselves in rocks and caves
Rich and great, and all commanders
Time of the goyim come to graves
I'm hanging here upon the ropes
Punchy, and I'm all punched out
Waiting for that final blow
To turn me inside out
And end the bout
Rivers in desert wilderness
Lamb protected by lion
Vineyards overflow grapes and love
Next year in Zion
Peace will burn for seven years
That great and mournful day
Eternity is coming
There will be a price to pay
The famines and pestilences
The wormwood in the well
All the waters turned to blood
The melting flesh, that awful smell
On the final blast of ram's horn
Will you not hear the calling?
O Damascus, O Jerusalem
Babylon the great has fallen
I'm hanging here upon the ropes
Punchy, and I'm all punched out
Waiting for that final blow
To turn me inside out
And end the bout
