Analysis of I knock the walls

When life’s pressures overwhelm me
And there is no letup on the horizon
I knock the steam off the walls

When pain strangles my sense
And its intensity numbs me
I knock the walls for feeling

When despair’s tentacles engulf me
And squeeze me hope-dry
I knock the walls in surrender

When am gnawed by hunger
And the belly twisted in agony
I feebly knock the wall

When loneliness becomes unbearable
And there is no friend to turn to
I knock the walls for company

When frustrations build up too high
And the stress bloated
I knock the walls down

Wish I can knock my way to Hades
In blistering fists of fury
And find rest for eternity.
