Last Days

I am here watching
Not quiet understanding the cycle life
Trying to figure out how life changed
I look at with curious eyes
Trying to find that shine that once was
I see the truth behind the words of fault
I see the words forming on your lips
But the way your lips tremble
The pain pours through your lips
I can see the words they form like floating clouds
Disappearing  when they come out like they were never heard
The way you look at me with sadness and anger
I wish i could make the last days better
Sun shining across your face the smile glows around you
Your cigarette smoke clouds your face you smiling with delight
Sitting at your feet for one last time
Stroking my hair telling me I’m your pretty girl
The way you remind me of my life and the goodness
Forever grateful for our last days
