Who Is The Fire?
You are fire
I am water
I burned you
When I faltered
I splashed too hard
and made an alter
I'd thought I meet you at the altar
Now that the steam has cleared I'm cold as ever
I was afraid to burn together
Guilt and fear froze me up
Now I'm lucky if I can breath in your dust
You burn so bright
I hope you never dim your light
I'm sorry for my waves as they crash at night
You couldn't evaporate but that's all right
I know your flames are strong they made me fly like a kite
And I wish I could control the tides
And I wish I was the flicker in your eyes
I wish i could hold you tight
But water and fire are in a constant fight
My burning desire and your calm aura
Who is the fire and who is the water?
Thank you quelling me
Maybe one day I'll let you back in my sea
But for now i have to set us free
I cant wait to show you the rivers I concede
