EXAGGERATE!

I’ve been told,
“You Exaggerate all of the stories you tell.”

They say my stories sound like explosions, when I retell an event or matter.

They say I use big words to fill in gaps that shouldn’t need to exist.

“It’s probably part of your autism n’ all.”

Yes, it’s probably the fact that when I experience something it already feels like an explosion or a burst of feelings.

Maybe I’m not exaggerating, maybe that’s quite what I felt.

Maybe I’m telling you an exact copy, a rendition; of the true-blue vibrancy and cataclysm I saw.

I saw.
ME.
Not what you think, not what YOU felt.
What I FELT.

Maybe I’m exaggerating now.
