I am an emerging writer who taps into vivid imagery and raw emotion to explore themes of nature, relationships, inner strength, and the human experience. My work aims to find glimmers of beauty and wisdom within life's challenges. I draw my inspiration from the natural world, finding parallels between the cyclical seasons and passages of life. My writing frequently features rich sensory details and metaphors from settings like forests and lakes. There is an appreciation for the serenity of nature, yet also an understanding of its harsher realities. At the heart of my writing is a focus on resilience and the power of the human spirit. My stories give voice to struggle and suffering, from abusive relationships to the realization of mortality. But there is also hope – the idea that we can shed our chains, rise up, and soar like a phoenix. As a believer in the power of the universe and one's own inner light, I seek authentic emotional truth in my writing. Although I touch on heavy subjects, my ultimate goal is to inspire others through my work. I believe in uplifting the soul and using the written word to unveil the beauty within everyday moments. I continue to refine my craft and share her distinctive voice day by day.

Our Last Winter Together

I sit here on the rock that feels like your heart, cold, rough, yet soft and warm at the same time. How can that be, but you see as seasons have 2 faces to be seen. In the middle of the ever changing forest thinking of past memories as a droplet of...

Schoolyard Games

My Boundaries are not your playgrounds to be played on.

Do not think you can keep pushing them with no detention.

Teeter Totters do have a hard stop you know.

One minute up, one minute down with no other direction to go.

Feel free to...

The Bucks Journey

Wild and free
Mind of my own
Band of Brothers, but only for a time
Graze to survive
Chase to create
Show to Pass down
Content to be king of the woods for a time
Oldness sets in
Time to rest
Year after Year
Final season is...

Tides of Vigilance

In a world of endless waves, wet sand on bare feet and salty air she stands, A lone figure against the ocean’s expansive waves crashing and waves of calmness.
Her eyes scan the horizon with a vigilant gaze, Always trying to foresee the storm’s...

Invisible Behind Closed Doors

And pray this nightmare soon will pass!

She locks her pain inside, Behind many painted masks, a fractured smile behind each one.

Her bruises fade, but scars remain
In memories she can't erase from words that cut the heart and mind too deep...

I voted for this because it resonates as I have been grieving.

The poem’s concise nature drives home the weight of topics like justice and unrest with impactful brevity. Its simplicity is a testament to the idea that sometimes less is more when expressing complex themes. Nice work!
