Poems »

Cliff Stewart was a creative artist unique in his chosen field of ceramics. His one-of-kind stoneware figures are made from special clays thrown on a potters wheel...a technique he originated. Cliff incorporated his humor, poetry and comments on society into his ceramics in both visual and written form. His poetry became his artwork and his artwork became his poetry. Cliff is a significant figure in the mid-century California studio pottery movement. His pottery is in the permanent collection of the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Pomona, California.
