There's More
There’s more to me standing before you, if you will only step back just a little and maybe you can see all of me
I’m the mom who worries twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and that is the biggest part you’ll see
I’m the woman who is scared of failing as a person and whose time for achieving is quickly coming to a close
I’m the mom that pulls the covers over your shoulders in the night and bends down and listens for that sweet breath coming from your button nose
I’m the woman whos only wish is that if I only knew then, what I know now, I would be so much better than I am
I’m the mom that if I could take away all your pain that I and the world has caused you away, I would do please understand
I’m the woman who is trying to heal and let go of the ghost in my life and cover all of my hearts many scars
I’m the mom who loves your smile, who loves to hear you laugh, hopes with all my heart that life gives you the moon and stars
I’m the woman raising my children all alone, having to learn how to live on my own, I’m sorry at times I’m very tired and torn
I’m the mom who will protect you from all the evils of this world, never allowing one hair on your head to be harmed
I’m the woman who’s not use to being alone and needs the love and support of her children, if not from you, then who
I’m the mom who loves you more than life itself, who would freely give her own for each and every one of you
I’m the woman who falls short, tries sincerely to succeed, loves with no boundaries, wishes for better times to be and searches constantly for forgiveness and the right words to say
I’m the mom whose heart swells with tearful pride because you are my greatest accomplishments in life, my reasons for pushing ahead each day
Dedicated to my four children, Josh, Jamie, Amanda & Lyndsey
I love ya’ll more that you will ever know
