Soul's in Balance

The riches that surround us,
Are not always defined,
Some men hold onto gold,
Others experience love devine.

I once saw a rich man,
With a scowl on his face,
A poor man stood beside him,
His face filled with grace.

So, I tell you my friends,
All happiness is not gold,
A poor man can have riches,
That satisfieds his soul.

If you must fill your pockets,
Fill your heart at the same time,
For riches reach not into heaven,
If your soul is left behind.

The riches that surround us,
Are not always defined,
Some men hold on to gold,
Others experience love devine.
