Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day, to all the fathers out there.
The ones who aren't afraid to show their families they care.

You take time to show them what love is supposed to be.
You don't care about the fame, you just want your family to be happy.

Putting your heart on your sleeve, you take up the dare.
The sad fact is, that loving fathers can be rather rare.

So when you find those fathers that truly shine.
You say to yourself, wow " I wish they were mine".

Some fathers may be good, while others are bad.
Whether we like it or not, they're the only ones we've ever had.

We always seek out the acceptance and love of our dad.
So imagine our disappointment when we make them sad.

Think ahead in all the things that you say and do.
Because one day, your sons may become fathers too.

So lead your lives accordingly.
So that we can live life and be carefree.

We don't want to be crippled by the unhealthy love some choose.
So please don't take advantage of us, it's our innocence we loose.

Our innocence is something that we can never get back.
So when you become a father, leave those demons on the rack.

Treat us with love, grace, and dignity.
If you truly want us to be safe and healthy.

So thanks again to all those fathers out there.
Whose love shines so bright, they even have love to spare.

Not all fathers are kind and choose this path that you lead.
That's what made this so hard for me to write, and for you to read.
