Silence

Silence has a golden tongue,
And silent songs are best unsung.

Saying nothing can be good,
To some of us that's understood.

Sometimes words get in the way,
Were I to speak, that's what I'd say.

So pardon me for keeping mum,
While some keep beating their own drum.

I'd sooner listen to the rain,
Than worthless words going down the drain!
