Send Me a Postcard

I know you search for your rainbow's end;
I hope you find it soon, my friend.
I settled right here — no rainbow in sight,
And time will tell if I got it right.

Rainbows are so elusive, I fear;
If you get too close they disappear.
I lazily lounge in this sleepy old town,
But some find it hard to settle down.

I guess you have that restless gene;
Moving on from scene to scene.
Send me a postcard when you get there,
Wherever 'there' is. Dear friend, take care!
