The Garden of Peace

Under a cloud glides a seagull,
over the pond flutter wild geese,
their squawk, scattered, dispersed
sink in the caressing breeze.

Red tulips in lush, velvet petals
sway gently, delighting the eye,
balmy hyacinth, iris, crab apple
to next season bid peaceful goodbye.

God's order and harmony reign,
through Him are all creatures sustained,
birds, butterflies, flowers displayed,
in beauty and glory arrayed.

High up warbles a skylark,
sunny daffodils hum softly with bees,
heavy branches droop delicate lilac
in the sweet-scented garden of peace.
