The bed of Procost

The bed  of  Procost

By :
Zinhom Elbadawy

Translated by :
Hassan Hegazy Hassan

***

(In the Greek myth, it was told that a bandit called "Procost" had a bed where the victim slept after Procost had taken away everything he ( or she ) had, so what exceeded the bed he brutally cut it, and what was short he constricted it, so he was set to be the severe example of tyranny and cruelty).

***

In legend, it is told  that
Your bed, Procost , was
crazy, cruel  and  ruthless,
Does not know the meaning  of  freedom
Whoever  exceeds it will be cut
 into various  pieces
 and  thrown  to be  food
For  wild  jungle  dogs

In the  legend it is  told, Procost ,
That your concern,
With terrorism and annihilation
Do  not  spoil  any issue  of  oppression

In legend, it is told  that
Your dogs, Procost , are
Praising   your   life, day and night
And see you :
  The most worthy
Of leading humanity!

In the legend, it is told  that
Your servants, Procost ,
Have  made  the free people :
  Traitors
And the  traitor  is the symbol
of patriotism!
