Questions and Answers

Can the tree ask the wind,
"why do you blow my leaves away"?
Can the clay ask  the potter,
"why do you make me this way"?
Can matter ask Spirit,
"why do people pray"?

Revelation comes complete,
truth pushes its roots deep,
the heart cannot lie,
though the intellect may try.
Carnality lurks to strike from behind,
like a serpent, devouring its bite.

But may Love be enthroned
in mind, body and soul,
may Truth stand tall
at the portal of thought,
where man is invited to enter,
and by grace, be made whole.
