The Exchange
In the waiting heart, God's voice,
like a sound of many waters
multitude of rainbows
shine, as pristine sparks erupt.
Sword of Spirit splits the joints and marrow,
demons flee, as they plead,
"Let us be. What have we to do with Thee,
Son of God?"
At the cross are sin and sickness laid
as the nails pierce through the veins,
sun beclouded, earth bemoans,
time awaits.
What perishes in shame
in glory rises,
sin, by royal Blood redeemed,
sickness, by broken Body healed.
The stone is rolled away,
from the tomb to the throne,
with bleeding steps,
Christ paved the way.
