Writer's Block

I’d write for the sound of words alone
If meaning they had none . . .
For simple joy I’d spark
Sun’s rapid shine
Or clouds collapse of mist in rain . . .

I’d dance for the fun of movements sway
When music came to play . . .
And with love’s laughter
Call to mind
Another game to play . . .

I’d laugh with unabandoned joy
I’d sing for silence
I would shout for pain . . .
Remembering rolling thunder’s roar
When wave’s of terror crashed
My suddenly silent shore. . .
