I am a paddy.

I Am A Paddy.

A paddy I am from Ireland
And there’s nothing special
About me- although I am very
Fond of my native country.

Of course, I regret the seven
Hundred plus years occupation
Of my country by a foreign
Power against her will.

And it is my hope the invader
Will support democracy as
They via the United Nations
Claim to do elsewhere.

Thus, as a people we paddies
Would accept and experience
National self determination
As all countries should be.

Therefore humanity through
Co-operation would benefit all
Nations defining our species
As the source of love.

A reality which derives from
The Biblical based truth that
Our God is Love which is the
Only way to make a better world.
